Often times you’ll come across those health nuts that act like taking a bite out of a cupcake or eating a slice of pizza is like committing a grand felony. I say, fuck off. Let me say that I’m all for healthy living. I am a healthy eater and believe that I have a healthy lifestyle. Eat right, work out, etc. I am here to tell you that you are allowed to have those slip-ups more often than you think.
The thing about healthy and unhealthy lifestyles, is that they are both, equally addicting. If you are eating whatever you want, doing whatever you want, etc. chances are you are enjoying it. Things won’t change for you until you force yourself to make a change or if your health becomes threatened and you are forced to live healthier. A healthy living is addicting because you will love the way you look and feel. Ask anyone who has ever seen results from working out. They’ll all say the same thing: “It’s addicting!” At first, working out may seem like a hassle, but once you get past the soreness and get into a routine, you’ll realize it is flat out enjoyable. It is a stress reliever and it is good for the mind and body.
A video that I watched recently explains the dramatic health changes in lifestyles based on being physically active for just 30 minutes a day. It reduces things like stress, angst, depression, and increases things like energy, happiness, and life span dramatically. The benefits of keeping your heart, mind and body healthy, through physical activity are worth it like you wouldn’t believe. Do a little research, watch this video, and realize that the healthy lifestyle is one addiction you will be glad you got roped into.
