Today’s Tip of the Day: I know many people out there do not eat breakfast, and I guess I can say, I feel you. But I am here to tell you that you should be eating a breakfast every morning. Listen to my quick pitch, why.
I used to be one of those kids, drinking too much, waking up and not feeling the need to eat a good breakfast, heading right for the coffee, and then off to class, work, practice or whatever may have you. Since growing and maturing, I have stopped such destructive behaviors in both categories. Now, I wake up, feel refreshed, and find some sort of breakfast that will fuel me until lunch. Whether it’s fruits, vegetables, egg whites, cereal, greek yogurt, or some other food, I always make sure I have some food in me to start my day. Why?
- Aside from fuel, a healthy breakfast in the morning helps your body’s digestive system and metabolism. You think you’re going to lose that weight by not eating breakfast? You’re very wrong. A healthy start to the day will allow your body to function the way it should and to affectively burn calories and keep your metabolism moving.
- It’s something to look forward to in the morning. Waking up is not the most fun thing in the world to do, especially when it’s for jobs you don’t like and classes you don’t want to be at. Give yourself something to look forward to in the morning with a nice healthy and delicious meal.
