Today’s Tip of The Day:  Avoid your risks of prostate cancer with these tips:

  1. Eat more tomatoes and marinara sauces-  Tomatoes are full of lycopene, a healthy antioxidant proven to reduce the risk of prostate cancer in men.
  2. Eat more broccoli- The nutrient sulforaphane has been speculated to help rid the risks of this disease.
  3. Eat more soy– Soy is said to be good for preventing all sorts of cancer due to the isoflavones in it.  Isoflavones are an estrogen type compound that help eliminate your risks of developing the disease.

  1. How about you write your posts on something you actually know about… Oh wait, that’d be nothing. I didn’t know you were a medical guru too.

    • Gleasons grading sysetm is one of the many grading sysetm used around the world to describe the appearance and grade the sample tissue under the microscope. Its commonly used in the US. In your uncle’s case its most likely a sample from FNAB or fine needle aspiration biopsy sample. The highest grade is 10. Right now your uncle could be confused or is still trying to get all the information in his sysetm. Try to talk to him but dont force him or anything, It takes time Show him all all the family support you can give and assure him you’ll all be there whatever happens. To answer your question, basing from the report, yes he has cancer, but he also has the right to decide what to do withit and that includes keeping it to himself (maybe for now)

  2. just one question.. do you have to cook the tomats to get the benefit (release of lycopenes) or does it diminish when you cook?
