Tip of the Day (Great Recipe Included)

COOK!  Simple as that.  Try cooking.  I’m not talking Mac and Cheese out of the box, I’m talking a homemade meal that you can feel accomplished after making.  Look up some easy recipes and discover your inner chef today.

Cooking is a really convenient hobby.  Whether you’re bringing a dish to a family party or if you’re cooking for that special someone, cooking a fresh meal can really seal the deal.

Just the other night, I cooked for the lady and put together a dish that was different but delicious.  Here’s a look at the recipe we used and that we loved.

  1. One Box of Penne
  2. One can of Campbell’s cream of mushroom sauce
  3. An onion
  4. One container of frozen spinach
  5. One red bell pepper
  6. Boneless chicken strips
  7. One bag shredded cheddar cheese
  8. Parmesan cheese
  9. One bag Baked Cheddar and Sour Cream Chips

It’s simple from here:  Boil the Penne.  Heat your oven to 425 degrees.  Boil the chicken in a pot until tender.  Chop the onion and sauté mixed with about ¼ of the red bell pepper and about ¼ to ½ of the spinach.  Sauté to your liking.  Shred the chicken when ready.

Strain noodles and add into a pot suitable for baking.  Add in1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese, add in ¼ cup of Parmesan cheese, add in can of Cream of Mushroom sauce, add in chicken, add in sautéed spinach/onion/pepper combo, and mix all together.  When done mixing take a handful or 2 of the Baked Cheddar and Sour Cream Chips and crush in hands and sprinkle over top.  Mix in lightly.  Take a little cheddar cheese and sprinkle over the top of the dish to top it off and there you have it.

Place dish in oven at 425 degrees for 25 minutes or until it looks just right.

Take out, let cool, and enjoy!

Add to this recipe anything you like to spice it up.  I’m always a big fan of loading my meals up with garlic.  Put a spin on things if you please.
